Light - the light of the Bible for youAbundant Life gives an excellent grounding in an overall knowledge and understanding of all the books of the Bible, and how they fit together to give us a wonderful picture of God's plan for mankind.
It is packed with the most interesting facts about the Bible and yet is deeply devotional. The students are given practical instruction in how to study the Bible for themselves, and to go on exploring its riches for fulfilling and effective Christian living.
All is set out in the clearest and simplest way, yet at the same time is profound in its teaching. It is ideal to follow on from the Abundant Life course, or as a follow-up for Alpha groups.
This material was developed initially by PACTEE (Pakistan Committee for Theological Education by Extension), now the OTS (Open Theological Seminary) for use in an Islamic culture. SEAN was offered the original text to edit and produce for wider use, and we believe this new course is an invaluable tool for use with Christians everywhere.
Abundant Light aims to introduce the student to this fascinating book, the Bible, and to explain its overall plan and teaching in a way the student can understand, so that it is seen to be totally relevant to us; to encourage the students to apply its teaching to their lives and ministry today.
The course will help students to do this by:

the Bible's teaching in practical situations

is coming again
His people need to be ready for that, living in obedience to God’s word
so they will not be ashamed at His coming
We would hope and expect that, through this course, students will go on to read
the Bible regularly for themselves.

As in all SEAN courses, is for the student to work through each week's assignment then meet together regularly with other students and a group leader (Tutor).
Because students are encouraged in the practical application to their own lives of what they learn, this course is not purely theoretical. It should have obvious results in changed lives, as the Word of God takes root and bears fruit in the students' hearts!
a) Anyone who has not experienced the 'new birth' and become a believing Christian should complete the Abundant Life course first.
b) When necessary, rather than the usual two lessons a week, this course can be worked through at a slower rate, with the students completing only one lesson a week. In this case it would take 21 weeks to complete instead of the normal eleven.
