SEAN UK has been working hard in the last few years to revamp its core material, bringing its quality and format right into the 21st century.
Already both pre-foundation courses – Life to the Full (previously Abundant Life) and Pure Gold (previously Abundant Light) – have been revamped and published, as also has Ephesians (previously Union with Christ).
And now (Oct 04)... the first foundation course – Life of Christ, Book 1 – is available in its new format.
Shown below are details of materials which have been updated so far. Currently being worked on are the remaining Life of Christ books (2 to 5), the aim being to keep up with those groups who, having worked through the new Book 1, will be demanding the same format as they continue through the Life of Christ Compendium!

UPDATED 'LIFE OF CHRIST' BOOK ONE NOW OUT!Users of Life to the Full and Pure Gold will already be familiar with the new format, with its clean, contemporary design. And, as with all the new editions, the selling price has been structured to encourage wider use (see Packs A and B on the catalogue page, which offer generous discounts). Users of previous editions of Life of Christ, Book 1, will be relieved to know that no major changes of content have been made – it remains a truly brillant course. What has changed mainly is the page layout, pictures (now a new set, drawn by the same artist who drew those in Life to the Full and Pure Gold) and integration with other SEAN resources such as Forum newsletter and the website. Needless to say, the Tutor Manual has the full revamp treatment and is an extremely valuable tool in its own right for training leaders of small groups. IDEAL FOLLOW-UP FOR ALPHA GROUPSIn SEAN UK's drive to introduce grass-roots level discipleship training into UK churches, a completely new version of the former Abundant Life was published in 2003, now renamed Life to the Full. It has been designed especially to appeal to a wide cross section of churches and Christians. Gone is the somewhat 60s title, and in is – we hope – a title and cover giving the whole booklet a distinct pick-me-up-and-read-me feel. Gone, too, are the old-look pages, and in is a new page design – with completely new pictures by Clement Montag, a professional Christian cartoonist with excellent communication skills. Those already familiar with Abundant Life, however, will be relieved to know that Life to the Full retains the integrity of the original material – albeit adjusted in places to reflect the current trends in culture and society in the UK. Existing users will also notice significant changes in the new format of Life to the Full. Text is now set in two columns, allowing a slimmer, stapled booklet – no wire-coils to catch your hand on – and page-turning has been further reduced by running the 'answers' and tests straight after each home study. The more colourful approach has been extended into the extras (all now 2-colour). With each home study book come two double-sided bookmarks, double-sided memeory verse cards, and a newly-written evangelistic leaflet (6-page 210x99). PLEASE, if you're thinking about introducing some sort of discipleship programme into your church or fellowship, do consider starting with Life to the Full. We've invested a great deal of time in tailoring this course for those who are not yet familiar with this method of learning – it is therefore ideal as a starting point for ongoing discipleship training. Other mainstream SEAN courses are currently being revamped in a similar way, and Pure Gold (formerly Abundant Light) and the Life of Christ (Book 1) have already been completed.
